hi!

I'm a book lover! I obsess over cover art, blurbs, and typography before I even read the first line. Books are experiences, not just objects. It’s an honor to be the first to open a fresh spine.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve kept a rotating, handpicked library, the right stories always arriving when I needed them most.

My own story began behind the scenes: first as a journalist, then a television producer, and eventually an on-air entertainment reporter. I spent years inside high-pressure newsrooms, including Good Morning America, producing segments that shaped the national conversation. It was intense and unrelenting. When the newsroom quieted, even for a moment, I’d open a hidden tab and start writing. In a job that demanded grace and composure, writing became the only place I could be completely unfiltered.

Then the pandemic hit. I packed my car and drove west until the noise stopped. I landed in Paradise Valley, Montana and found a turning point.

I kept writing through heartbreak, healing, reinvention, and the early days of motherhood—often with a baby asleep on my chest. On 2/22/22, I met my partner at a sound bath in Joshua Tree. At seven months pregnant with our second son, I signed my book deal.

For nearly a decade, I helped tell other people’s stories on national television. Now, it’s my turn to tell mine.

Cosmic Goodness is a memoir and an affirmation—to follow what lights you up with unwavering belief that it will lead you to your highest good.

If you’ve ever stood at a crossroads and wondered if there was more, this book is for you.

In the press

advance praise for cosmic goodness

Cosmic Goodness reminds you what I had to learn the hard way: life gets better the moment you stop trying to control everything, trust the pull inside you, and let yourself become who you’re meant to be.”

—  Mel Robbins, New York Times bestselling author and host of The Mel Robbins Podcast

“Authentic, vulnerable, and beautifully written in a voice that makes you want to be friends with the author, COSMIC GOODNESS is an important, timely read."

— Zibby Owens

"A remarkably assured debut. But what’s most surprising about the book are the universal truths. Ms. Gard has the ability to appeal to an incredibly diverse intersection
of readers: Professionals, day-dreamers, hippies, seekers, and ultimately mothers and daughters. She’s the kind of person you’d find yourself inexplicably opening up."

— Drew Fortune, author of No Encore: Musicians Reveal Their Weirdest, Wildest, Most Embarrassing Gigs

“In Cosmic Goodness, I am grateful to witness the challenges Cassidy encountered. They illuminate how deeply these same forces shape so many women’s lives — and they make me appreciate the women in my own life even more”

— Barry Barnes, Everything I Know About Business I Learned from the Grateful Dead

Cosmic Goodness is an essential companion for any woman navigating the divine intersection of soul-aligned pursuits and the transformation of becoming a mother — proof that we are the designers of our own lives.”

— Liz Tran, founder of Reset and author of The Karma of Success and AQ

Cosmic Goodness is a wonderful door to open and look inside a very colorful life. Cassidy and I share some really unique life lessons. Both our parents took us to Grateful Dead shows beginning from our earliest days. We just had different seats. Also we both did time on The Bachelor television show. She was in the field, I was in an editing suite. But we were weaving in and out of the same worlds and Cassidy’s book is a great glimpse into her perspective of it all. Her sense of humor carries you through the darker moments and I found I couldn’t put down the book

once I started the journey.”

— Justin Kreutzmann, director, There Will Be Drums!

“Cassidy Gard doesn’t just intellectually understand spiritual principles. She has lived them. She viscerally gets it, aligning the earthy and the divine in a fantastic way. What a heart, what a brain, what a writer. She hits you right between the eyes and you feel

blessed.”

— Marianne Williamson

"In Cosmic Goodness, Cassidy does an incredible job of showing how a deep-rooted belief and inner optimism illuminates the right path for us all."

— Peiman Raf, co-founder and CEO of Madhappy

“I was riveted by Cosmic Goodness from page one. Cassidy Gard’s memoir - from a frenetic, burnt-out life as a young television producer covering breaking news 24/7 to a spiritual rebirth and motherhood in Montana’s Paradise Valley - is a page-turner, a beautifully recounted journey and most importantly an insightful, witty and prescient guide to life and the power of renewal and reinvention.”

— Peter Davis, Editor in Chief, Avenue Magazine

“It doesn’t get better, you get better. What beautiful words to live by, and how Cassidy Gard embodies that and shows us there is a way to crack open our hearts and embrace all the cosmic goodness there is in the world; for every woman who has embraced the pain, got through it, and learned how to come home to herself.”

— Jane Green, New York Times bestselling author of 22 novels

“Cosmic Goodness is an illuminating mirror for any woman who’s been frozen by perfectionism and is brave enough to drop the heavy mask to be free.”

— Amber Rae, bestselling author of Loveable and Choosing Wonder Over Worry

“This is work of rare honesty and grace. Cosmic Goodness captures the raw, messy, mystical, and magnificent landscape of motherhood —

the parts that are too often left unspoken, too taboo to say aloud. This is a book to read slowly, to breathe with, and to feel seen through.”

— Aviva Romm, MD and midwife, New York Times Bestselling author (Hormone Intelligence, Natural Health After Birth, founder of The Mama Pathway

Cosmic Goodness is a love letter to every woman who’s ever chased success and lost herself in the process. Cassidy writes with the precision of a journalist and the heart of a poet—transforming burnout into breakthrough, loneliness into light.”

— Deuxmoi

“Paolo Sorrentino spoke of "The real, the useless and the unspeakable kind of love that brings pain, yet also forces you to start again.” If you’ve had love and heartbreaks and are on road to rebirth, Cassidy Gard’s luminous memoir will accompany and inspire with wit, kindness, honesty and hard-fought wisdom. Plus all the Tinseltown wildness you could ask for.”

— Junot Díaz, Pulitzer Prize-winning author of The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao

“For any thirty-something who has felt lost in the “shoulds” and craved a deeper alignment with their life, but wasn’t quite sure how to get there. Cassidy Gard translates her own, improbable but true, experiences into tangible advice for heeding quiet synchronicities and building a singular path home. A reminder to follow your own wildness into the light.”

— Leslie Stephens, author of You're Safe Here and founder of Morning Person

“Cassidy writes with the kind of honesty that makes you laugh through your tears. Her gorgeous story is a roadmap for anyone searching for meaning in the mess of ambition, love, and family.”

— Jo Piazza, bestselling author of Everyone is Lying to You

“As my father said, ‘The real you is not a puppet which life pushes around. The real, deep down you is the whole universe.’ Cosmic Goodness is the playful invitation to become your own Big Bang.”

— Mark Watts,

Alan Watts Org

In a world rushing to hide its wounds, Cassidy Gard slows down to meet hers with light. Cosmic Goodness reveals what happens when attention meets truth—when awareness becomes love. A tender, honest reminder of the healing power of being present."

— Mitra Manesh, Senior Mindfulness Educator, UCLA Mindful, and Author of The

Attentionist

Cosmic Goodness is a heartfelt reminder that by trusting the unseen threads of serendipity and choosing conscious healing (and nature) over old stories, we step into our inner guidance and embrace soul-aligned joy, and love of the wondrous life we are meant to live.”

— Mariel Hemingway

“Cassidy Gard is here to bring us breaking news. In Cosmic Goodness, she shares the most vital story of our time: that through breaking, we awaken to our greatest potential. Stepping out from the light of newsrooms into the open sun, Gard’s life story becomes a mirror, inviting readers toward a higher existence—not through rapture, but rupture. With vulnerability and vision, she offers herself as a spiritual journalist, guiding us inward toward the truth we cannot outsource—our own becoming.”

—Will Cady, author of Which Way Is North and cofounder of HEAL MVMNT

"Cosmic Goodness is a masterclass in what it looks like to stop performing and begin living from within. It traces her own path out of the ‘desert of lack and the city of not-enoughness’ toward a life rooted in healing, motherhood, and a spiritual homecoming. Cassidy Gard writes with the kind of radical truthfulness that reminds us our mess is not the end of the story — it is the doorway.”

— Jennifer Pastiloff, bestselling author of On Being Human and Proof of Life

"I couldn't put this book down. Each page brought forth a nugget of wisdom like a scavenger hunt for the soul. Cosmic Goodness takes you right to the heart of womanhood with a raw authenticity we can all relate to. Akin to a timeless poem, I find myself rereading and reciting her words over and over again."

— Carson Meyer, Growing Together: Doula Wisdom & Holistic Practices for Pregnancy, Birth, and Early Motherhood

“In Cosmic Goodness, Cassidy Gard trades breaking news for inner stillness, tracing her transformation from burnout to belonging. With the warmth and wisdom of a late-night letter to a friend, she explores ambition, grief, sobriety, and the miracle of divine timing. Gard writes with the heart of a seeker and the clarity of someone who’s met her shadows and decided to love them anyway. This sparkling memoir is a reminder that reinvention isn’t a deadline, but a divine unfolding. Every page glows with tenderness, humor, and the courage to begin again. It’s a book that will leave you with more grace for your past and more hope about what’s still to come.”
